Originally created in 1989 as Johnson-Kent Productions, the firm began as the framework for Christina Johnson Kent’s national and international award winning video productions.
Today, we are a multi-disciplinary communications consulting firm that provides counseling in the areas of strategic communications planning, corporate communications, crisis communications, labor relations, internal communications, witness preparation, and media and presentation training.
Of course, we continue to work in the video production arena, conceiving, writing, directing and producing programs and videos for government and corporate organizations.
Our clients include airlines, law firms, oil and gas companies, hospitals and medical centers, real estate developers, non-profits, and commercial companies large and small.
Christina Johnson Kent was for more than a decade a Washington D.C.-based Producer for NBC News’ The Today Show, where she wrote and produced segments of the show for Jane Pauley, Bryant Gumbel, Willard Scott, Katy Couric and many network correspondents. Her award-winning educational videos, produced for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, are now part of the regular curriculum at elementary, middle and high schools across the Southwest. In addition she has taught Business Communication at the graduate school of St. Thomas University in Houston. She has provided presentation and media training for major PR firms, businesses, law firms and medical institutions, as well as on-going communications counsel to national and local businesses.
Art Kent is also a veteran of NBC News, where he began as a Correspondent in Viet Nam after many years in local broadcast news. His time at NBC included stints as a Bureau Chief, Producer, Vice President and Middle East and National Security Correspondent. For six and a half years, he was Vice President of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications of Continental Airlines. As a communications counselor, his clients have included major oil and gas companies, law firms, airlines, national organizations, businesses and non-profit groups. Until recently, he served as Senior Director of Public Affairs for the Houston Symphony.
